R.E. McAuliffe is an emerging writer of speculative fiction. Her stories have been published in The Mechanics’ Institute Review Anthology, Orca: A Literary Magazine, and various horror anthologies. A third culture writer born and bred in Ireland, she credits her interest in the supernatural and the surreal to an upbringing imbued with myth, madness and Cork city smog. She now lives in London. In 2025, she was shortlisted in the Book Challenge Competition held by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham’s Pen to Print Creative Writing Programme. As a result of this, Pen to Print is sponsoring the publication of her first novel, Elderwood, by New Generation Publishing, in 2026.
Pen to Print is funded by Arts Council, England, as a National Portfolio Organisation.
